Opportunities for Family Engagement
Family communication and partnership is an integral part of Trinity Lutheran Preschool’s program. The following is a list of some opportunities for families to become involved in their child’s preschool experience.
-
Family visits: families are invited to attend a session with their child to experience their preschoolers’ day.
-
Several times during the year we have special occasions and invite families to come celebrate with us.
-
We ask family members to come in and share a special talent, read a story, help with a party etc.
-
Families are invited to attend when we have special programs such as storytellers, regardless of the days the child attends.
-
Periodically we send projects home for children to complete and return to share with class and display.
-
The children have turns taking story bags and “Special Me” (show & tell) home throughout the year.
-
Family surveys are distributed each year for feedback on our program.
-
Progress reports are distributed twice a year and parent conferences are offered.
